La Cité College’s Skills for Success Web application
La Cité College’s web application helps students evaluate and build the foundation skills they will need to be successful. These skills include reading, numeracy, writing, digital, speaking, and listening skills.
Each La Cité program stream has its own assessment, which administrators select for test-takers:
- College readiness
- Trades and engineering
- Information technology
- Health service
- Administration and other
Each time a student takes a test, they receive a results report that highlights their strengths, along with areas where there are gaps. They also get an individualized learning plan that provides useful learning resources. The resources are available online and free-of-charge.
