The College Sector Committee for Adult Upgrading (CSC) leads the Ontario College System in the creation of provincial resources, procedures and standards related to the development and delivery of relevant programs and services. They provide leadership in promoting the continuous improvement of the delivery of upgrading programs to meet the needs of adult learners.
The CSC funded the SkillsMarker (ESEE) web application to help Ontarians develop the Essential Skills they need to succeed in school and at work. The tool features:
- Assessments that compare the reading, numeracy, writing, listening, problem-solving, and digital skills of test-takers to general academic and vocational requirements.
- More than 140 embedded American Sign Language (ASL) videos to support deaf and hard-of-hearing learners.
- Learning plans that provide over 400 English and French learning activities.
