How Pathways works
Skills Match
Assessment results are compared to the skill requirements of 298 occupations.
Pathways measures the gap between a person’s current skill levels and those typically needed for each job, then ranks careers based on the closest overall match.
Interest Match
A short survey captures preferences related to work environment, tasks, and interests—such as working with people, data, or tools; structure versus flexibility; and hands-on versus analytical work.
Balanced Career Ranking
Skills and interests are combined using a 60/40 weighted model, supported by thousands of background calculations. The result is a dynamic, personalized career list that evolves as individuals grow and learn.
